Real-world range depends on rider weight, speed, terrain and temperature: it drops noticeably in cold weather or on climbs. When starting out, step onto the board while it is stationary, next to something you can hold on to, keep your eyes looking ahead, and wear a helmet along with wrist and knee guards. Avoid puddles, gravel and steep slopes. Recharge the battery after each use rather than leaving it empty, and store the hoverboard in a dry, temperate place. Regularly check the condition of the wheels and keep the platform sensors clean.
